Richard Ekkebus named best chef in Hong Kong by Tatler

In a tweet shared Thursday, Ekkebus, who helms the Mandarin Oriental Landmark’s flagship restaurant in Hong Kong, provided photo previews of the 2013 Best Restaurants guide by Hong Kong Tatler Dining which released their picks for the top 20 restaurants and top chefs in the area.

In addition to taking the prize for best chef, Amber also took the No. 1 spot in the top 20 restaurant ranking.

Meanwhile, other restaurants tapped by Tatler Asia include Restaurant André, by André Chiang, which was named the best in Singapore in 2011.

The latest Michelin guide also promoted L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and 8 ½  Otto e Mezzo Bombana from double- to triple-starred establishments.

The inaugural World’s 50 Best Restaurants Asia is also set to take place next year.
